Below is a brief synopsis of membership criteria for the
different membership classifications, however, members must review the
Wisconsin Paper Group Bylaws for complete membership qualifications.
Active Membership
An applicant may apply for Active Membership in the Wisconsin Paper Group
if it is a Wisconsin or Upper Michigan based manufacturer, processor,
converter, printer or distributor of paper, packaging, paper related products
or shaped or extruded plastics.
Additionally, all applicants must provide satisfactory evidence of
credit-worthiness, must agree to adhere to the Wisconsin Paper Group policies
and Bylaws and must not have been convicted of any violation of state of
federal antitrust or related law nor been convicted of any felony.
Converter Associate Membership
An applicant may apply for Converter Associate Membership in the

or distributor without a Wisconsin or Upper Michigan based plant, provided,
however, that a Converter Associate Member may only ship commodities with the
Wisconsin Paper Group which have been manufactured, processed, converted or

Probationary Membership
An Applicant which does not meet the eligibility criteria for either an
Active Member or a Converter Associate Member may apply for Probationary
Membership in the Wisconsin Paper Group. The applicant must demonstrate to the Board of Directors
that it is more likely than not that it will meet all of the eligibility
criteria for Active Membership or Converter Associate Membership within 18
months of the application date (the probationary period). The rates for Probationary Members
are 2% higher than Non-Probationary Members to create an incentive for qualification
as an Active or Converter Associate Membership. New members joining as Probationary Member enjoy the
opportunity to receive the transportation service advantage of WPG along with
competitive pricing that will be even more advantageous once the conditions
for Active or Converter Associate Membership are met.
